Leah is the salon owner and director, highly sought-after Melbourne colourist and hairdresser – best known for her beachy-blondes and natural lived-in balayage.
Leah has been creating beautiful hair within the industry for over 26 years, working across some of Melbourne’s most renowned salons.
From early beginnings at the iconic ‘Zimmer’ salon in South Yarra, Leah soaked up the teachings of Barbara Challinor, a hair muse of the 70s.
Leah’s career has taken her from the salon to the silver screen where she has worked as a hair and makeup artist on commercials, short films and in the Australian entertainment industry.
Most notably working on-set for Neighbours, entrusted to look after high profile actors and actresses including Margot Robbie and Carla Bonner.
Leah found her true passion within the salon, and ZIER is the culmination of her skills, experience and vision for what a salon should be.
With the support of her team, high quality products and a focus on learning and development – all clients receive the highest standard of service and leave the salon looking and feeling their very best.
Alex
Senior Stylist
Alex has been working bayside in the hair and beauty industry for over 14 years.
She has a real passion for making people feel beautiful and cared for and working with them to achieve their dream look!
Alex is known for creating beautiful, effortless blondes specialising in lived-in colour and long hair. With a focus on healthy hair and low-maintenance blonde results, Alex is dedicated to helping her clients achieve their best hair while maintaining its health and integrity.
Her calm energy makes all of her clients feel at ease.
Leah Mae

Leah Mae is a local girl who is experienced way beyond her years. A quiet soul, Leah Mae is dedicated to her love of hair.
Leah Mae has recently returned from Maternity leave after the birth of her beautiful boy Nicolas.
She brings a wealth of knowledge to the team, with a passion for all blondes she is also the queen of perfecting a glam blow dry.

Rizelle joins our team with 9 years of experience in the industry, specialising in blondes, balayage, and colour corrections.
Riz creates a relaxed, welcoming space where every client feels heard and leaves feeling their absolute best.
Known for her friendly nature and attention to detail, Riz has a passion for delivering personalised results, and believes that great hair starts with listening, taking the time to understand each client’s vision and creating a look that reflects their individual style.
With a calm, attentive approach and a genuine passion for helping people feel their best, Riz strives to ensure every appointment is an enjoyable experience, leaving clients feeling refreshed, confident and excited to come back.
A coffee lover and music enthusiast, Riz is dedicated to helping every client leave feeling refreshed and confident.
Abbey
Apprentice
Abbey began her journey in hair as a school-based apprentice, and she’s been an asset to the ZIER HAIR team.
She has a real love for creating beautiful lived-in blondes and growing and evolving her knowledge for colour.
When Abbey is not in the salon, you’ll find Abbey with a vanilla iced latte in hand, exploring new places to eat and enjoying the little luxuries in life. With a love for fashion, good food and all things creative, Abbey brings her own sense of style and personality into everything she does.
As she continues to grow her skills behind the chair, Abbey is passionate about creating beautiful hair and soaking up every opportunity to develop her craft. Her dream is to one day travel the world, bringing her love for hair with her and creating beautiful looks wherever her journey takes her.
Emma

Emma is the friendly face welcoming you at the front desk at ZIER HAIR.
As front of house, Emma is dedicated to creating a smooth and enjoyable salon experience from the moment our clients walk through the door.
Originally from the UK, Emma made the exciting move to Australia in 2025 with her husband and two children, a decision some may have called a little crazy, especially since they had never even visited before taking the leap! With over two decades of experience working in salons and spas, Emma brings a wealth of knowledge and understands the details that go into creating an exceptional client experience.
When she’s not welcoming clients at the salon, you’ll find Emma enjoying a good cup of tea and indulging her love for all things chocolate.
With a passion for people and a genuine love for the beauty industry, Emma is always here to answer questions, help you find the right services and guide you through everything ZIER HAIR has to offer.
Chloe
Salon Assistant
Chloe is our newest addition to the ZIER HAIR team, fresh out of school and ready to learn the ropes of salon life. She’s the friendly face keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes, keeping things organised and always up for a chat with clients while she is on the salon floor.
Recently moving to Bayside, Chloe is loving exploring her new neighbourhood, you’ll find her outdoors whenever she can, out and about shopping or spending time with family. And when she’s home, she’s probably curled up with her cat.
